Following the huge success of our Nantwich Antiques Market since it began in 2014, we are delighted to announce that Nantwich Town Council have asked us to continue organising these markets during 2023. As before, the popular markets will be held in conjunction with our popular Thursday and Bank Holiday Antique Fairs which we have organised at Nantwich Civic Hall for the past 19 years.

Our Summer Market is situated in a fabulous location, right in the centre of this bustling town which enjoys the benefit of attracting a huge number of Saturday shoppers, locals & tourists but most importantly... there's no admission charge, so it's completely free to all visitors!!

This Saturday market, open from 9am to 3.30pm, will offer traders the ideal opportunity to showcase their Antiques & Collectables to a wider audience and this event will be extensively advertised locally and nationally by both V&A Fairs and Nantwich Town Council.

The market offers 38 covered 3m x 3m Gazebos all hardstanding ~ these are pre-erected and each one includes a 9ft table.
For further details please contact V&A Fairs on 01244 659887, Mobile 07759 449257 or visit www.vandafairs.com.

Nantwich Antique Fair Saturday 16th August
Posted on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014

Saturday saw the first Antique / Collectable Fair to be held in the market area of Nantwich town centre. Well organised fairs have been held in the town for some time, but this was the first outdoor event.
I was one of the fortunate stallholders to put their name forward and be accepted, as there were only 26 stalls available. I had no idea what we might be presented with, but had confidence with www.vandafairs.com in presenting a good show.
On arrival, the gazebos were just being erected and tables named and we were ready to occupy our stalls at bang on 7.30. After unloading stock, we were asked to move our vehicles so that the shopping area would return to a pedestrian zone. Most stalls were ready to go and it was opened by the mayoress who cut the Red ribbon and invited the public in. The Town Crier also made the local shoppers aware that the event had opened....

2nd Review of the Nantwich Antiques Market by a standholder:
(sent 14th September, 2014)

Julie,

We just wanted to say thanks for organising The Nantwich Market Fair.
It truly is a great event, with a varied selection of items to suit all pockets and has potential on so many levels. It's one you should all be proud of both personally and professionally.
The atmosphere is fantastic and the customers a delight, a great reflection on Nantwich and its people. When the sun is shining it becomes a village fete!
The Council have obviously recognised the effort put in by yourselves and stallholders alike as they are continuing with the event next year and we think, everyone should take this as a compliment to the commitment they have shown.
We know you (especially you, Julie) make light of time, toil, sweat and the sleepless nights that contribute to organising such an event. Having started up council contracts and aiding organisation of The Royal Berkshire Show we empathise.
If you are in any doubt as to the question,
Has it all been worth it?
Ask yourselves,
How many other fairs do we organise where the stall holders DON'T want to pack up and go home?
Enough said.

J.C. (stall holder at Nantwich Market Antiques Fair)
